First Glaze Project

DON'T FORGET TO TAKE THE POLL AND COMMENT 4 BLOGS DOWN FOR THE BLOG GIVEAWAY-ONLY 7 DAYS LEFT!
You know all those glazed scrabble tiles that are everywhere now? I love the idea of them, by the way!
Well, I totally stole this idea! But I'm not selling the product so its okay. ;)
I am making wood..cards? They're 3.5"x2.5" and basically flat, so close to cards..
I used Mod Podge to glue the photos to the flat wood pieces, then I painted a coating of Triple Thick Diamond Glaze on top of the photo. I used an old baking sheet so that I wouldn't make a mess and could move them easily. They didn't turn out how I expected, the photos are a bit fuzzy looking because of the glaze, and kind of bubbly.. but my girls still look good!
I haven't decided if I'm going to have them hanging downward in a row, connected by ribbon... or... Hanging side by side individually. Downward would put less holes in the wall. I've also considered just getting really small photo stands to stand them up on a mantel.
Each picture has a letter on it, when grouped correctly they will spell out, "BLESSED".
I'll take some photos of it when it's finished!
This is the gift for my MIA. I love it! So I'm going to make one for myself as well. (When I have the time)
The first time I saw this idea was in an Etsy store owned by mleefipps http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=18357923
Wonderful work and Brillian Idea!
