Fishing Trip Gone Red

For a late Father's Day my hubby and I went fishing!

We took an inflatable 5 person raft to a large pond, we weren't able to take our beautiful Bayliner this time :(

It was a wonderful pond, look how pretty and peaceful it is.

(Below)

See all the fluffy white cotton floating on the water top?
It was very annoying. It blew into our food, eyes, noses..you name it.
It sure was pretty though.

Like a fairytale. Just he and I floating alone.

~~~
There I am with my fabulous pink fishing pole! I just dyed my hair before the trip, it's much brighter than I intended.
What do you think? I know, but it'll fade quickly.
~~~

My pink fishing pole brings the fish to the pond..
Do you love my Lovely fishing pole?

~~~
I have to say something here.
Aren't all these hooks overkill? I mean, do we really want to mangle the fish we catch?
Isn't one hook enough?!
~~~

I look like a lobster!

<--See how sad I am? I have never had burnt knees, till now.

Every inch of me is burned, well aside from my torso and thighs...

I've been lying in bed trying not to move. OUCH

Lying in beds hurts too!

~~~
Seems like I bump into everything in the house now. My kids keep touching my burns...
:( Whoa is me! I need to go back to bed and lie there till the pain subsides.
Lesson Learned: Wear sunscreen!
But there is a massive yard sale tomorrow that I can't miss! This is insanity, but I must go. There are going to be 60ish sales in one neighborhood!
Featured Etsian Artist~SkylarsCandyClips
SkylarsCandyClips put these up in a blog giveaway, and I won! EEEHH, I was so excited to win! My daughter and I love these soo much. They're soft and comfy to wear and just adorable. The headband goes so well with most of her spring outfits.
Thank you SkylarsCandyClips!
"This little hobby of mine was inspired by my eldest daughter Skylar when she was a baby (now almost 4 years old!) and always losing the hair clips that I bought her. Frustrated by the poor selection of hair clips at the retail stores I shopped from and the outrageous prices they charged, I decided to make my own. From there, it slowly evolved from giving them as gifts, to goody bag treats, until I decided to do retail myself! Skylar always referred to her hairclips as "candy clips" from the many different styles she owned so I thought it was befitting to call it Skylar's Candy Clips in tribute to her for serving as my inspiration, my muse. Thus Skylar's Candy Clips was born!Skylar's Candy Clips...handmade with love and because one is just not enough!!!"
"I'm a mommy of three who LOVES making arts and crafts with her kids! Skylar's Candy Clips was inspired by my eldest daughter Skylar who called her hand made clips her "candy clips". Now almost four years old and a budding fashionista, Skylar took great care matching her outfit with a different clip everyday and we've gotten lots of compliments! Now her baby sister Peyton (who was born with tons of hair!) is following in her footsteps (their middle brother Deacon, for obvious reasons, unfortunately can only admire from afar). Skylar's Candy Clips has expanded to other cool products such as headbands, infant hairclips, ponytail holders, summer hats, baby beanies, and beach bags! Each item is designed and handmade by me with lots and lots of love!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Hello and welcome to my shop. I am based in London, UK and enjoy creating a variety of pretty hair decorations suitable for lovely ladies who are looking for something feminine, sparkly and a little bit different."

I live in a little apartment in London, UK with my beloved and my baby girl, but like to day dream of sunnier shores. I love green fields and blue skies (the farmers daughter in me), the ocean, romance, my tiny family, my friends, and eating cheese (all kinds of it, far too often). I devour books whenever I get the chance, which is now not very often with an adorable yet time-consuming 8 month old. My sister lives in Australia, I miss her.

I have been into creating things since my early days. From the dubious home-made bath products I made from crushed plants and forced upon my mother (sorry Mum), to sketchbooks full of prolific drawings of ladies in pretty dresses. Though my first major ambition as a 7 year old hasn’t been realised (being a world famous fashion designer), I still love to draw, paint and play around with beads and ribbons and lovely things. I work part-time at a graphic design company when I’m not running around trying to make sure everyone is fed and that the laundry eventually gets done.

I first started making hair decorations for the bridesmaids at my own wedding. I liked it a lot so I just carried on making more and here they are. I hope other people enjoy wearing them as much as I do creating them. Each one is unique and inspired by my love of colour, flowers and generally beautiful objects.
