Here is my third segment on the Vintage Toys that brought laughter and fun into our lives.

Do you remember these toys?

My little brother had a three wheeler similar to this..(different colors) Mine was neon green and pink. I seem to remember that front wheel breaking easily, because its plastic..hmm
My daughter now has a Sit 'n' Spin, They're much cooler now, lol. Hers has lights that flicker on the top and it plays different songs while she spins.
The Miss.Beasley doll was before my time, but she seems to be popular.. I understand she was on a TV show of some sort. (?) I may have to do more research on her, I'm interested to know why she is so beloved.

I also LOVED my Big Wheel! It was so much fun to go tooling around the block, low to the ground, plastic wheels making that cool sound along the pavement! My friends and I also used to turn them upside down, sit on them, and grab the pedals with our hands to spin the wheel -- we pretended the wheel was a washing machine (how we thought clothes could fit in there I don't know!), and we called it "Playing Laundromat". :) We sat there, chatted and literally spun our wheels. :)

I had a Chrissy doll that had a button on her back. You pushed it and her hair grew really long. Loved that doll till my brother cut her hair. Okay, that was the whole point of the freakin doll! BLOG

I have some fun memories of barbie and making houses and run ways out of my mom's cook books. I used to cute up barbies clothing and play "runway barbie"with Ken too. Ken was the stage director and barbie was the top model.

I used to love my Sony tape player/karaoke machine. I would drag it around singing songs and dance all over the house! I loved singing Seasame Street songs, Debbie Gibson, Squeeze and Billy

Miss Beasley and Timey Tell were a couple of my favorites. Miss Beasley and I had matching glasses. And I learned to tell time with the Timey Tell doll.

Jacks was before my time, it was a game that my parents and grand parents enjoyed (I believe) But I've heard lots of stories about them!
My mom had a couple of Wrinkels the Dog puppet toys. I never realized what these were until I read the story below. One of them wasn't a puppet though. They were very cute :)
I never owned the 'pretty pretty princess' game, but my neighbor did. I loved collecting the jewlery to wear! ...I was also disappointed when I didn't win the 'pretties'. :(

We used to play jacks for hours! The boys played too! WE would play on the front porch and have competitions and our hands would be raw on the side or have splinters from the wooden porch! I was pretty good. BLOG

Wrinkles the dog was given to me by Santa around my 5th birthday. He was sitting on top of a brand new desk that Santa also thoughtfully left for me. Wrinkles lived with me until my college days and amongst these dazed and confused days was lost in the college shuffle. :( However, this past Christmas Santa found a New in the Box 1981 Wrinkles dog for my 4 year old who was delighted to meet her mom's childhood pup.

i had a run yourself ragged board game that i played soo much. basically you take metal ball and run it threw the course and your timed. my cousin got one for xmas.and my parents seeing how much i loved it got me one too.also had a holly hobby doll i defaced with some paint and pens. BLOG

I used to love to play this board game that my dad got my sister and I one year as a Christmas gift. It was called Pretty Pretty Princess! You got to move your pieces around the board to land on spaces so you could wear the different pieces of jewelry. Whoever got to put on all their jewelry and the crown first won! I would always end up fighting with my sister over the crown though. It was plastic and a gray color and you decorated it with those cool puffy stickers that looked like stick on earrings! We ended up breaking it in half one time when fighting over it. We would also make my dad play it and make him wear the crown just to laugh at him! We still have it somewhere in the attic.

Not a big doll lover but I had tons and tons of Barbie clothes for all of the ones I had (even fuzzy haired Ken). My great grandmother sewed and crotcheted outfits by the dozen. They would have sent today's Blythe collectors into a tailspin. I had cases full.My sister, 8 years my junior gave Barbie a bath and washed ALL her clothes. We discovered this months after the fact while searching for the God Awful stench. Finally opened a case from the closet. Suffice it to say, more than Ken's hair was fuzzy then.all lost. forever. I still don't like my sister very much. BLOG

I've been collecting stories about (now) vintage toys and the memories they had brought to people as children...
I was going to make one very large post featuring all of these stories, but decided it would be easier for you and me if I just do more shorter posts.
These are just a few of the personal stories that were shared with me, Thanks all of you!

Maybe I'll list a toy that you used to love as well...

I'm so thrilled! My Mother-in-law has informed me that she has a small collection of dolls that are over 100 years old! I can't wait to see them, I'll take photos so that I can show them off!

Cabin says: I had an awesome toy called Fashion Plates.It came with these plastic plates with different tops, bottoms, model's heads, and shoes.The images on the plates were raised, so you could take an imprint/rubbing with them with paper and a crayon.You would mix and match them to create an outfit. Oooh, here's a pic of me actually playing with one of my toys as a child...look at how cool I am in that jacket. hahaha I always felt like such a 'big girl' playing with those mini video game toys!

I saw a metal doll house at a friend's house the other day, and it reminded me of the terrific doll house I played with for hours as a girl. It had a battery operated ceiling light in the living room, real stairs, and a swimming pool in which I would put a few guppies from our aquarium. They would eventually jump out to meet their demise on the table.The sad part of that house, though, is that I never had dolls the correct size to use- especially articulated ones that would sit in the chairs!

I remember my aunts friend gave me a house for my barbies. Not a Barbie dream house...this was before those! It was huge...and made of cardboard, thick cardboard and completely furnished. I took old photos and pics from magazines and decorated the house to my own taste! Barbie spent days waiting for GI Joe to come home from Vietnam! Finally he came home and there was Barbie in her nice new home. BLOG

These are the "Fairy Tail Friends". I used to have one of these, I don't remember which one. I never really knew anything about these. Were they a TV show or just a toy? But I thought it was cute, nonetheless. I feel a little guilty, I had forgotten all about them. I just happened to see a photo while doing my 'vintage research'. I'm glad to have remembered these little sweeties! Did you have one of these as well?

I've been super stoaked about Vintage toys lately, why? I'm not sure... Maybe, because my daughter is getting to the age where she likes her toys a bit more. It's a little exciting. But her toys are just so different than the ones I used to own... The 80's had very unique toys, lol.

I couldn't wait to show this one off in my feature next week, so here are the Moon Dreamers today!

My sister had a couple of these, we played like they were our Barbie's kids. I don't remember what we named them, but I remember always thinking Sparky (the blonde girl) was a dork, haha. Though we didn't have any other small dolls (at the time) to be the kids... But they really are very cool dolls, with glow in the dark hair!

"I remember receiving Blinky and Ursa as a kid- shortly followed by Bitsy & Roary. I was fascinated with their glow-in the dark features, sweet little faces and pets they could ride. Despite my admiration, I was growing out of my dolls at the time, and didn't really play with them much. However, I never did want to get rid of them- they still make me smile. When I discovered ebay and Amazon in 2000, I realized I could get all of them, in new condition! I've been collecting ever since..."

I was just randomly browsing through the great 'world' of Etsy and found these sweet store... The bootie and rattle sets melted my heart! So of course, I had to show them off and melt your heart as well!

My daughter's little piggies just keep growing so darned fast, I wonder if these can be made in her size.. hmm... (Can be made up to 12 months, I'm in luck!)

My sister and I have been talking about our own memories that we had with our (now) vintage toys. I really really miss my toys now! So, I wanted to show some of them off!

This was my favorite Barbie, I named her Christina. She is "Island Fun Barbie" 198?. I no longer have her though and I regret ever leaving her behind.. So now I am in a desperate search to find her, a different 'her', of course. Because I can't get my original favorite back.. This is the only one I can find, but I'd like to buy just her, not Ken as well. Wish me luck!

VTG MATTEL LOVELY LADY LOCKS AND MAIDEN FAIR HAIR DOLLS

My sister owned Lady LovelyLocks.. She was a beautiful doll. My sis had the canopy bed and coloring books. I loved lying in her bed and staring at the fabric with all the beautiful illustrations of Lovely Locks and her chipmunk friends. I've looked for one on the Internet in hopes of giving my daughter the same experience but have had no luck..

Oh, the Pound Puppies and Pound Furries! There is only one Pound Furry in the photo, but he's a cute little one! How many of you had some of these to cuddle with? I believe these are back on the shelves, right?

I know you know who these cuddly bears are! We had a few of these, including some of the cousins, like Braveheart the Lion, and the Raccoon.. My daughter loves them as well. I had her nursery all decked out with these cuties! Now she's into princesses for her room. (That's cute too)

My Little Ponies, I adored these gals! I have 3 siblings and everyone of them would get involved with our pony games, good times! My daughter is now a huge fan of these little sweeties. She has her own collection, Modern styles, of course. They're more slender, I believe the ponies were all put on a diet!

I am really loving finding all these Vintage My Little Ponies.. I see so many that I had, and some I still do.. I won't post them all. But I may do a My Little Pony feature in the future. I'd love to have some of my readers contribute!

Who had a Popple? I had a pink one, but I believe we had one that was similar to this one as well. Your tuck them into a ball and toss them around, remember?
